The 4 Weeks To Fab program brings all types, ages, bodies and walks of life together while working towards inner and outer strength goals. Monica is no exception. She had her own “transformation” story, but was stuck in a rut and looking for something to help her regain fitness back into her life. Apart from her physical and internal confidence built in the program, Monica had found that the new relationships formed within our private 4 Weeks To Fab group was an extra bonus.
Monica was SMOKING on set. Her confidence and strength and BELIEF in herself made my jaw drop. I just love being there to witness these women transform when in front of the camera. It is a gift that everyone should feel at least once! Take it away Monica!
“I saw a Facebook post of Megan Stratton – a 4W2F goddess. It inspired me to get back into being fit vs. just striving to be skinny (yes – I weigh myself everyday).
It’s about two years that I lost 63 pounds and more than a decade that I lost my connection with fitness; a connection that was part of my life from childhood to early adulthood. A connection that was broken by life’s responsibilities of home ownership, career growth, and becoming a mom of two awesome kids. A connection of feeling strong that has now been refuelled once again because of Megan, because of 4W2F, because of me.
That feeling of strength and feeling strong comes in many forms; it comes from feeling physically strong. This is a weight resistance program. Lifting weights and heavy weights at that, wouldn’t have even crossed my mind. Of course it would have been integrated, but it would be a smaller portion of my overall fitness regime. I would have hit cardio machines and bored myself out of going to the gym. I’m up to 45lbs in total weights when doing my lunges – and it feels awesome; awesome that I can physically do it with proper form. Awesome that I can run my hand down my leg and feel my muscles are pumped and hard.
That other feeling of strength I got was within myself. I set my mind on jumping back into this cold turkey… and I did it! I made mistakes on the way; had a glass of wine here or there (don’t follow my lead on that), but overall stuck with a tough program and was successful. This program showed me that I have what it takes to achieve what I set my mind to. That type of confidence is rewarding in itself.
As I mentioned, it’s a tough program – there was a commitment to making the time to work out, meal preparation and overall daily planning – but it became more of commitment to myself. And although, I’m not working out 5 to 6 days a week right now, or sticking “strictly” to a meal plan, I AM working out anywhere from 2 to 4 times a week, replacing spaghetti with spaghetti squash and forgoing a piece of toast when I fry up some bacon and eating it with some tomatoes and a lettuce instead.
I would like to take a moment to speak about the one “surprise” aspect of this program. The thing that I never knew I was going to get from it. The one thing that I think that probably surprised many of us. The connection you make with total strangers; and one not so total stranger – my neighbour – Michelle. Having this group, and especially, someone like a friend do this with you sets you up for success. Being able to share struggles, achievements and even food enabled me to feel all that much more committed. I hold this experience close to me and feel very grateful to have these ladies.
Overall, the support, encouragement and motivation you get from the 4W2F goddesses is amazing. Now that I’m off the program, I continue to see these amazing ladies online – motivating me to continue this amazing journey (and to get that butt I’ve always wanted). Ultimately, this program has provided me with feeling confident inside and out.”
