Shaelyn showed up daily to her life and her goals and made it work. I decided to do 4 Weeks to Fab after seeing pictures of and speaking to a friend about what an amazing program it was. I jumped right in with both feet and lots of enthusiasm and signed up immediately. As the time got closer to start the program I began to second guess my decision. What if I couldn’t do it? What if it was too hard for me? What if I wasn’t good enough?
The day came when I had to submit the “before” photo to Rita. I had my husband take the photo over and over again because surely it was his lack of photographic skill or the poor angle that made me look like that! I cried when I looked at the photos because I couldn’t believe I looked like that after all the hours I had spent at the gym over the past year. My husband said, “Why are you doing this if it makes you cry?” My response was “I am doing it because it makes me cry.” I have struggled with my weight and have had to be conscious of it for what feels like my whole life. I had managed to keep it under control in my twenties, but post-baby weight created a roller coaster for me in my thirties. I had done diets and I had done exercise and was still not happy with the results and not happy with how my body looked. So I actually had a bit of trepidation when I sent the before pictures to Rita. All was good and I started the following Monday!
The online support from Rita and the other ladies doing the program was absolutely fabulous! Knowing that others were working through things the same way I was, being able to ask questions, and being able to support each other along the way was incredible. I love Rita’s approach to whole food nutrition combined with strength training and cardio to get results that I have had with no other program. She is truly a genius in being able to combine exercise and nutrition for fast, noticeable, and sustainable results. The program was congruent with my holistic approach to life and I embraced the program and recommendations 100%. I am proud of what I accomplished during the “4 Weeks to Fab” and will continue with the new skills that I have learned & implemented.
Here is what I have accomplished:
– I can now run 20 minutes without stopping.
– I lost 14 lbs and a full dress size (however I no longer weigh myself & no longer obsess over the numbers on the scale).
– I have gained a significant amount of muscle, which has changed my body shape for the better.
– I no longer skip meals or binge eat and nourish my body consistently throughout the day.
– I have incorporated exercise & weight lifting as part of my daily routine and no longer see it as I chore. I actually look forward to it!
– I feel fit, healthy and sexy again after a 10 year struggle with post baby weight!
